The Drop Trac System

Drop Trac has a unique one piece hood offering simple installation and a clean, pleasing appearance.

Drop Trac is robust having a single hood design to be used on doors up to 400 Kg. This enables the user to have a consistent appearance on a site with multiple door sizes and weights.

Drop Trac hoods have a built in 200 mm adjustment per hood length offering the possibility to use one track part number for a range of different clear opening widths.

Drop Trac saves your gaskets while minimizing the effort required when opening and closing the door. As the door approaches the closed position, the dual trolley design engages the monolithic P.E. drop blocks. These contoured blocks allow door to drop 9.5mm toward the floor and 9.5mm in towards the wall ensuring positive seal. Inversely, as the door opens, the door glides up these contoured blocks raising the door from the floor and away from the wall. Due to this motion, the gaskets break completely free from the wall. The benefits of the system are simple, zero friction slide motion and minimal wear and tear of the gaskets.

The Trolley

The door is suspended from dual trolleys which are fastened together with an aluminum tie bar or single full length trolley depending on type ordered. The trolley, coupled with our door mounted hanger bracket allows for adjustability on 3 different axes. The door can be adjusted up and down, in or away from the wall, and left and right.

The trolley setup used is solid aluminum. It is then drilled and tapped to accept set screws and high quality wheels. The wheels are constructed of polyethylene, and sealed stainless steel bearings. Dual roller design with large diameter wheels allows for smooth, silent operation along with unprecedented stability.

The Leading Edge Hook and Snubber

The Leading Edge Hook and Snubber ensure positive seal. As the door slides closed the carefully engineered hook accepts the snubber while forcing the door toward the wall.

The hook is a powder coated zinc diecasting and the snubber is manufactured from Glass Reinforced Nylon.

The Floor Guide and Guide Rail

The Aluminum guide rail is fastened to the front, bottom edge of the door panel. Unlike some of our competitors, our rail does not extend past the door panel in either direction for safety purposes.

The monolithic floor guide is machined from H.D.P.E. The self lubricating properties of H.D.P.E. and the extruded guide rail are a perfect fit allowing for a longer life span of the components.

Wall Guide Option

For customers and end users who would like to remove all components from the floor, our wall guide is for you. The anodised aluminium door mounted hook and wall mounted rail blends well with the anodised aluminium Drop Trac hood and with aluminium framed doors and removes trip hazards from the floor. It incorporates a glass filled nylon drop which allows the door to drop to the floor and move inwards to seal the gaskets and is finished with a glass filled nylon drop cover and end cap. When the door is opened the system clears gaskets from the wall and floor preventing damage to the gaskets. The hook has a vertically adjustable nylon roller that runs inside the rail and the vertical adjustment make for simple installation and final adjustment. An important advantage with our system is that one set of parts can be used for left to right or right to left closing doors reducing inventory levels and making kitting for installation simple as the components come packed with the Drop Trac hood and other items. The rail can be mounted to the wall with square headed nylon through bolts that slot into the rear of the rail or can be screwed or riveted to the wall skin along the top and bottom flanges of the rail.

The Gaskets

A full perimeter gasket maintains it flexibility to 40 degrees below zero.

Dual gasket blades offer two points of contact for a perfect seal.
