Drop Trac Auto Close is a totally mechanical automatic
closing device for sliding doors with an adjustable timer
that holds the door open for up to 2 minutes.
Closes the door after a pre-set time. Saves energy by
not allowing doors to remain open unnecessarily and
reduces stores’ carbon footprint without the need of an
electrical supply and costly motorized doors.
Works on fully or partially opened doors allowing for
pedestrian access where the door does not need to be
fully opened.
The door can be closed manually before the time set for
automatic closing.
Fitting Auto Close does not impede the opening of the
door. The four large diameter polyethylene wheels used
in Drop Trac’s track manufacture ensure a smooth
effortless opening.
Auto Close is fitted with a damper which slowly closes
the door preventing a snap shut close.
Auto Close in housed in a visually pleasing 250 mm long
extension of the Drop Trac hood with a tamper resistant
cover allowing only authorized staff to alter the
settings.
Simple adjustment to the time the door stays open.
Simple adjustment of the tension which closes the door.
This allows for different door weights to be closed at
the same speed.
Auto Close may be disconnected for extended open time
for in-room servicing.
Independent testing at the UK Building Research
Establishment completed in excess of 21,000 consecutive
opening and closing cycles without failure. This is
equivalent to approximately five years usage.
An optional battery powered closing alert is offered with
the following features.
Sound set at 82 dB.
Self setting on its first opening to the time the door
is set to remain open for. If the time is changed it
self sets to the new time.
Two seconds before the door closes the buzzer sounds an
alarm.
When the door closes a different buzzer tone sounds
until the door closes.
If the door is propped open for a longer time than the
open time set the buzzer continues until the prop is
removed and the door closes.
Low battery alarm sounds when only 2 volt charge remains
alerting staff to change the batteries.
